There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later. Great idea. Poor execution. I wanted to love this case but I'm sorry I bought it. Although it looks as if this would offer protection, only a few minutes of actual use prove otherwise. The top is oversized to allow one of the 2 included mics to remain attached, however, if you're using this for field recording, you would probably not want that.

The included mics are too fragile and not ideal for field recording. They would not hold up under even minimal use in this configuration. The clear top is great until you go outside. Then, glare from the sun makes the H6's display unreadable. The sides open to allow access to the Zoom H6's XLR connectors but the straps of the case impede a clear connection. This means the elastic straps must be forced out of the way, stretched more then needed and put undue pressure on the XLR connections.

That's just dumb. Didn't the designers check for this? The hook and loop material is hugely disappointing. Not only will it NOT support the weight of the H6 under even the most careful conditions, the material itself pulls and after only a couple of closures and opens, looks like it's been around the world nine times. Simply put, the material is a terrible choice to suspend your H6 with.

Do not trust it to support the unit. I had it fail under minimal strain and while I was able to save the H6 from falling to the ground, I will never subject the unit to this case again. I don't recommend this case. Zoom should be ashamed to offer it. It's a good idea with very poor execution. There are other alternatives including the 2banger tactical bag from 5. Think about it. Other dissenters have mentioned the same problems that I've noticed but to reiterate - the dimensions are VERY imperfect leaving lots of room for water, dust, bodily fluids, and really anything to enter the case and ruin the product.

The plastic top piece is super reflective and makes the display impossible to see in sunlight. The velcro is woefully weak in half of the points of contact. It literally feels like it was made for a different model. You cannot access the battery door while in the case and it's kind of a B to get it out in a hurry - nvm all the sound of ripping velcro if you're shooting a wedding or something.

It's basically a scuff protector and nothing more. I don't know how much you paid for YOUR H6 but mine was expensive enough that this loose fitting nylon sleeve is a no-go for me. Just get a padded Amazon Basics case instead.
